The riding is suitable for all levels of biking and the scenery is amazing!
We have a fleet of excellent rental bikes available which are always in tip-top condition. Some are Mondraker All-Mountain and others Giant Trance, and they have been carefully selected to make the most of the excellent routes that we ride. Of course, you can bring your own bike if you wish.
As a cycle holiday company, we've been established for 20 years, and each year we are constantly improving our bike holidays for you. Our testimonial guest book is testament to this with over 240 glowing reviews, and the fact that we have a great many repeat guest also lets us know that we are 'doing it right'! In fact, the majority of our bookings are returnee's or come by recommendation - something that we are very proud of.
We are based just 20 minutes from Malaga airport, and we offer pickups, at any time and on any day. Your superb accommodation is in our beach houses which are fully air-conditioned in summer and warm in winter. There is a great pool, lovely gardens and each accommodation includes WiFi and television. We start each day with a great breakfast, cooked freshly for you everyday. Included in the holiday is a free bar, and fruit and snacks always available.
Our Mountain Bike Holidays are ideal for biking families. We have a wide selection of routes perfect for kids ages 8-14. If they are older than that we treat them as adults and select routes accordingly. We also have a trailer bike for kids 6-8.
Bike Holidays - The Routes
Many of our rides start high and finish at sea level, which means more singletrack fun for less pedaling!
We have been operating since 1992 and the routes we use have been developing and improving over the years. Since our beginnings we have found (and are still finding) dozens of hard-to-find flowing and/or technical singletrack not marked on any map. These are hunting trails, goat paths and access routes between villages which have been developed over centuries, and they are perfect for mountain biking.
We now have a large range of routes to suit all bikers from beginners to expert downhillers. Most of our routes begin by using the bus(es) to gain altitude up to 1000m and finish around sea level to get more of that grin factor for less effort. Lots of our local trails are half-day trails which link up to give us a great choice for all abilities.
On our bike holidays you will be mountain biking on lots of different surfaces and past different scenery! Our routes include riding beside disused railway lines and aqueducts, through forests and villages, in agricultural land and beside the sea, crossing rivers and passing quarries. We visit large towns such as Malaga and little villages hardly visited by others. Some of the routes are chosen for beginners and families, others have been picked for regular Mountain Bikers and a few routes are extreme and created especially for hardcore experts!
Bike Holidays - The Breakfast!
Every morning starts with a hearty and very tasty breakfast to set you up for the day. It is served at 9:00 each morning and for many it is one of the highlights of the holiday! It is lovingly prepared while we discuss the days riding. We are very proud of our breakfasts!
First Course: Selection of cereals with fresh milk / Porridge specially cooked by our Scottish chef / Fresh seasonal fruit, including melon, strawberries, pineapple, and peaches
Second Course: Fresh bread baked that morning / Spanish cheeses and meats / Toast and choice of jams, marmalade, or honey
Cooked Breakfast: Choose from eggs (fried, scrambled or boiled) / Bacon / Sausages / Fresh tomatoes / Fresh mushrooms / Heinz Baked Beans
Drinks: English breakfast tea, percolated coffee, orange juice, apple juice
Bike Holidays - A typical week's itinerary on our Mountain Biking Holidays in Spain
No two weeks are ever the same, and we alter our itinerary depending on the group’s stamina and wishes.
Saturday - If you arrive before midday there will be time to get the bike ready and then we get the chance to have a fun afternoon descent from Mijas.
Sunday - The lakes - Brilliant singletrack riding in some fantastic scenery.
Monday - Coin Woods - Local forest ride in the morning with a descent to the coast in the afternoon
Tuesday - Mijas Down - We will drive up to the mountain village of Mijas for the start of the ride which sits at 450m above sea level. The first half is a super long descent on singletrack and paths to the sea level. We will follow this with a choice of more hill climbing or a flattish second half.
Wednesday - Today we take rest from biking. Why not visit the historical city of Granada, head into Malaga for the shopping and sights, or try a mountain walk, tennis, golf, surfing, horse riding, dolphin-watching on a yacht or maybe you would just like to sunbathe by the pool or on the beach.
Thursday - Montes de Malaga - There are a bunch of great trails in this park sitting at 1000 metres above Malaga
Friday - Jonny's trail - Starting from 650 metres above sea-level, we begin with a fire-road climb to the start of some superb singletrack riding. After this we mostly head downwards with an urban ride through Mijas.
Saturday - La Cala - If you are leaving after 4pm we will have a morning ride around some local single tracks before the trip to Málaga airport for flight home.
In June we have breakfast an hour earlier to avoid the intense afternoon heat. We'll also finish the rides before 3 pm and spend the rest of the afternoon by the sea or pool.
Whatever riding experience you have, we guarantee that you will have a superb, fun-filled biking holiday, in and out of the saddle. Come and join us in Fuengirola this year!

Fuengirola is a lively sea-side town where the Spanish come on holiday. It has more than 8 km of beaches and a mediaeval Moorish fortress, and the town has broad beaches along a promenade extending east and west from the town. Along this coastal path are a few pretty, smaller adjacent villages.
Previously, a small fishing village, Fuengirola has become a vibrant metropolis with character. There are many decent tapa bars and good restaurants, sitting besides chic boutiques and other shops of interest. The beaches are superb and it makes a perfect holiday destination for many different kinds of people. A walk down the narrow streets leading off the main square is a voyage of discovery for the many visitors – there you will find hidden secrets and delightful corners of this friendly, Andalucian town.
Fuengirola has all the amenities and comforts you need but in a beautiful Mediterranean setting.
Nearby to Fuengirola is the town of Mijas and its mountains, and the Malaga Natural Park, just two of the fantastic places where we ride. We are ideally located for MTB holidays and we have a large choice of amazing routes to choose from. Come join us!

For non-biking adults the area offers:

Below are some common FAQs and their answers:
Our flight arrives at 3am. Can you pick us up?
We would prefer to collect you at more civilized times but if this is the only flight you can get then we will collect you in our minibus.
I often compete in races but my partner is not so experienced and only wants to ride easy routes.
We have a whole range of routes from fast uphill training runs to easier flatter scenic routes. We also use 3 or more guides to ensure that all people are catered for.
Are you legal and fully insured?
We are legally registered with the Spanish tourist authorities (AT/MA/00129) and have full public liability insurance. We are also a tax paying limited company (B92110782). Beware of traveling with an unregistered company as this is illegal and could cause you problems.
How much spending money will we need?
Just about everything is covered except for a small lunch and the evening meal. There are a large selection of restaurants in Fuengirola offering great food at good value, so around €120 per person per week should be enough, leaving some cash left over for presents for your friends and family.
I don’t feel very fit or confident at present.
Don’t worry! We can start slowly and by the end of the week you will surprise yourself about how much you have improved.
Will it be dangerous?
Like a skiing holiday there is always the danger of a fall. We tailor our routes so no one has to ride difficult terrain unless they want to. However accidents can happen so we advise you to get an EHIC card (for European citizens – free – apply on internet). This will give you access directly to the excellent Spanish medical facilities. All of our guides are first-aid qualified and first-aid kits are always carried on each ride. Please note that helmets must be worn on all our guided rides.
“Free Bar” What does that mean?
- Spanish beer along with Spanish red, white, rose house wines and sparkling house Cava.
- A good selection of soft drinks in cans (cola, orange, lemon, lime, etc.), sparkling water, mineral water, and a choice of fruit juices.
- A large range of spirits to mix that perfect evening cocktail.
- A range of pre-meal nibbles, peanuts, olives, cheeses etc.
- Our bar is unlimited, meaning we will constantly keep it (and all other provisions) topped up over the course of your stay. Never fear, you’ll never run out!
And the best thing is that there is absolutely no charge for any of this!
Do you have uplift assistance?
All of our routes have lift assistance in the buses. Sometimes gaining 500 metres to the start of the ride finishing at the coast, whilst other routes have uplifts throughout the day. This way there will be more time for that singletrack descending that we all love.
Isn’t the Costa del Sol full of non-Spanish tourists?
On the contrary, Fuengirola is the coastal town where Spaniards from Madrid, Cordoba and Seville love to come for a holiday. It is full of Spanish bars and restaurants and you will get the real flavour of Spain.
Do you cater for vegetarians?
In our base there are lots of vegetarian choices for the evening meals.
Do you cater for non-riders?
Non-riders including children are welcome and there is always plenty to do here. We have many other sports locally including horse riding, golf, sailing, skiing (snow and water), tennis, windsurfing, squash, karting, mountain walking, dolphin watching and many other activities. We are right on the beach and have a large swimming pool and gardens.
Are you open all year round?
We are open all year except July and August when the temperature is too hot for comfortable biking so we have a break until September when it is much more pleasant to ride. In June and September it still gets hot during the afternoon so we tend to have an early breakfast and get off promptly and back before the afternoon heat arrives. The afternoon can be spent on the beach or by our large pool.
How much singletrack is there?
All our rides have lots of singletrack, ranging from flowing tracks through forests to extreme XC.
What type of bikes do you rent?
We have a fleet of modern top quality full-suspension bikes which are well maintained and serviced and replaced every year. We constantly sell the bikes after a few weeks use so they all fairly new.
Is it a problem if I bring my own bike?
Airlines all charge for bikes around £40/£50 return or more and weight allowance goes up from 20kg to 32kg. You will have to think carefully about extra luggage if you wish to bring your own ride. If you do bring your own bike we suggest packing it in a cardboard bike box found free at a bike shop. Remember to add plenty of lagging protection. Most airlines will not accept bikes unless boxed.
“Just want to say thanks for a brilliant week. The accommodation, food, town, bikes, and most importantly the riding were superb. We all felt we improved throughout the week. Will defo be planning a return visit in the future. Cheers!”

“I had a great time meet some wonderful people, and had the best week of mountain biking ever. I would like to thank Mary for being a fab host and also for the great food. Great guides and I got some good insight into mounting biking in Spain. I would recommend to fellow buddies! All the best for the future… I will be back to conquer them hills!”
“Thanks for providing an awesome week in Winter on the hills/mountains. You gave us a warm friendly house, unlimited breakfast and challenging trails, useful uplifts but still enough of a climb to earn the descents through interesting terrain – it sure beats the mud and roots of home! I can’t wait to get back later in the year. Single riders – don’t be perturbed! You will meet and ride with like minded, fun similar guys! Thanks.”
“Can I just say on behalf of Andy, Keith, Kim, Derrick and myself what a fantastic trip we all enjoyed. The organization was of the highest order, the choice of routes absolutely perfect, the guides were great professionals. The accommodation is excellent value for money. What more can I say ? 10 out of 10 sir! All the very best and we hope to see you again sooner rather than later.”
“I had a fantastic week – great rides and a brilliant atmosphere. This is my seventh time and it just gets better. Well worth doing would recommend to anyone. I took my 16 year old grandson this time and he loved it. See you again soon.”
