These superb cycle tours take place in the heart of the countryside of the wonderful Dordogne and Lot regions in south-west France. The area is dominated by the magnificent Dordogne and Lot rivers and their stunning valleys. It is quite simply an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Most tours start and end in the market town of Gourdon. The town has been built in tiers around a hill, where once a castle and ramparts stood. From the viewing platform at the top of the hill, there are fabulous views of the surrounding Bouriane.

A short distance away is the beautiful town of Sarlat which is famous for its medieval architecture and has the highest concentration of medieval, renaissance and 17th-century façades in France. Every Saturday, its lively street market attracts both locals and tourists to the town.

Traveling along the Lot Valley, you will definitely want to take time out to visit Rocamadour. This famous town clings to the rock face overlooking the Ouysse gorge – and is the site of an ancient pilgrimage. The splendid “rouge” village of Collonges-la-Rouge is also worth making a detour for along with Cahors, St-Cirq-Lapopie, Puy-l’Evêque and the magical riverside village of Cressensac.

We are confident that the Lot Valley will enchant you throughout your tour – and we’re certain that you’ll want to return here again and again!

All the hoteliers are known to us personally and each hotel has an excellent restaurant, highly respected within the local community for their exceptional cuisine. We had an absolutely fabulous time during our cycling trip. The route was exquisitely planned, the directions sharp and clear, the hotels very comfortable, the hoteliers warm and hospitable and the dinners simply heavenly. The bikes worked flawlessly and the scenery and sights were simply superb. Thank you for arranging such a memorable trip. We hope to see you in a few years!

Thanks very much for all your help. We were very pleased with your services, your choice of hotels and the routes you selected. The flexibility was great and the sheer quantity of well surfaced quiet roads, the fantastic scenery, refreshing rivers and spectacular chateaus make this a first class cycle destination. The lack of luggage to carry means we could cycle fast and unhindered and the plethora of fine restaurants ensured we never went hungry! We are already considering a return for next year…
David Elliott, Worcestershire, England

This is a must for anyone who wants to be somewhere completely different, relax, keep fit, marvel at breathtaking scenery, indulge in superb cuisine, eat fresh walnuts along the roadside and much more.
